Charles is based off of an actual dog plushie owned by game dev Skarrynight since childhood.

No matter what item is equipped, interacting with Charles gives you the option
to Tell Charles about your day. Saying yes allows the player to save in one of three save slots. saying no
does nothing but end the interaction. You can still save by talking to Charles after saying no.
